BIG PAY OUT MARCH AND FREE AUCKLAND CONCERT SAT MARCH 18 Striking low paid workers are inviting union members and supporter to join them on a march up Queen St, leaving from Britomart at 1pm, to join the "Big Pay Out" free concert taking place in Myers Park Saturday March 18 at 2pm. The march is pushing for a $12 minimum hourly wage, the abolition of youth rates and secure hours for workers.
Musicians playing at the concert include 8 Foot Sativa, Stylus, Olmecha Supreme, Shona Laing and Geneva.
Olmecha Supreme are the new low down dub band fronted by Imon Star from Rhombus.
Geneva are a young ska band with members who were some of the world's first striking Starbucks workers.
