The CTU Women’s Council is the constitutionally recognised body representing women union members of CTU affiliated unions.
Women’s Council members are endorsed by their unions. Two representatives of the Women’s Council are entitled to attend meetings of the National Affiliate Council, with voting rights. The constitution requires that a national women’s conference is held biennially - in the year of the CTU Biennial Conference. Under the NZCTU constitution Local Women’s Councils can be formed under the same terms as Local Affiliate Councils. |
